One couples Wedding day

And a starring role for Casa de Olivos

Casa de Olivos was lucky enough to be included in one couples’ special day this summer, with a late-August wedding. While the ceremony and reception were held at a nearby Michelain-starred restaurant, we provided the venue for the wedding party to assemble and prepare before a classic VW Camper shuttled them to the main event.

Wedding celebrations

This was our first wedding day event here, and it was a real privilege to bookend their wedding with our own blend of sophisticated Wow, and relaxed Ahhh.

We decorated the main terrace and around the entrance to the bridal apartment, in keeping with our style and sustainability ethos, and set a celebratory mood. More details outside and in were specially tailored to the couple and made them and the whole wedding-party feel extra special.

The night before the wedding day, bride- and groom-to-be enjoyed a relaxed, quiet space where they could take a deep breath before the emotion of their big day to come. The Casa de Olivos calming influence helping to soothe pre-wedding nerves.

Guests start arriving, and the day begins

By 8 the next morning, the two apartments were buzzing with energy. Make-up and hair for the ladies was in one apartment while the boys got themselves ready in the other.  Guests grazed at brunch buffets in each apartment, waiting their turn in makeup or lingering between photos.

As each new car-load of guests arrived, raucous cheers announced their arrival.  Close friends and family all eager to get dressed and begin the celebrations.

Throughout the morning, three photographers buzzed around the growing crowd, getting informal, behind-the-scenes shots.

Stunning backdrops

Casa de Olivos gave its best with a stunning choice of backdrops. The beautiful gardens, natural scenery, or the apartments themselves complimented the assembled guests, now looking amazing.

As the bridal party set off to the main venue, we swung into action once more, getting the apartments tidied and ready for the newly-weds later that night. By the time they arrived back with four friends for their wedding-night stay, everywhere was immaculate again, and ready for the last drinks of this memorable day. And  of course a cool down in the pool!

After the emotion and mayhem of a wedding day, Casa de Olivos is the perfect place to wake up on the first day of a new life together. The tranquillity and natural beauty allows couples time to breathe out, process the whirl of the last 24 hours, and savour the moment.
